ROCHESTER - A Rochester woman out on probation was arrested on a heroin possession charge on Tuesday after she apparently lost her stash while visiting the city's library on South Main Street.

Rochester Police were first called to the Rochester Public Library around 4:40 p.m. after a library staffperson found a baggie of brownish powder on the library floor and noticed that a woman was looking for something she'd lost.

After police arrived they viewed surveillance video that confirmed the woman looking for something was the one who had dropped the baggie.

Nicole Ann Raymond, 30, of 19 Sagebrush Dr., who was still at the library, was arrested and charged with drug possession. She was released on personal recognizance bail with an arraignment later this month.

Raymond, however, was held on a 72-hour probation hold; she was transported to Strafford County Jail.

The charge for which she was on probation was not immediately available.
