DOVER - The lead prosecutor in last month's fatal shooting at a riverside Dover bar said he'll meet with Dover police on Thursday to decide their next move in the case.
Raymond Eldridge II, 34, of Dover, died the night of Dec. 18 from a single gunshot wound to the chest, according to a medical examiner's report.
Assistant Attorney General Peter Hinckley said today they've interviewed all the parties involved in the shooting, but that doesn't necessarily mean a decision may be immediately forthcoming.
"Sometimes we know what happened and can make a decision quickly," he said. "Other times it takes more time."
He said some of those interviewed may have to be interviewed again as the investigation being conducted by Dover Police moves forward.
News reports have identified a Chevrolet Avalanche with Maine plates that was seen being towed from the scene of the shooting early Wednesday, just hours after the shooting.
However, Hinckley said he'd have no comment on the vehicle's possible connection to the shooting outside Castaways Tiki Bar and Restaurant.
The bar is located on Cocheco Street on property owned by Strafford County Commissioner George Maglaras.
Police say upon arrival the night of the shooting an adult male suffering from a gunshot wound was found outside. He died soon after, officials say.
According to Eldridge's Facebook Page, he had worked as a nondestructive testing inspector at Turbocam of Barrington for several years. The page also states he graduated from Dover High.
