ROCHESTER - Rachel L. Dubois, 73, of 20 Patton St., Rochester, N.H., died on Saturday, May 13, 2017, surrounded by her loving family, after a brave fight with pancreatic cancer. Born January 19, 1944, to Lucien and Leane (St. Pierre) Croteau in Dover, Rachel was raised in South Berwick, Maine. She attended St Michael's and St Joseph's schools.
On September 1, 1962 Rachel married her husband Robert R. Dubois. They had four beautiful children and were fortunate to have 50 wonderful years together. Rachel worked at Davidson Rubber for 37 years and Disatronics for six years before retiring in 2010.
After Bob's death in 2011, Rachel later met and married Patrick R. Cyr on September 3, 2016.
Rachel's first love was her family. She was unselfish towards everyone. Her favorite food was ice cream, yet she was generous with her crepes, making them for family and friends. She enjoyed playing cards and putting together puzzles. Rachel was famous for her New Year's night celebration for family and friends.
Rachel is predeceased by her parents, husband Bob Dubois, and son Richard Dubois.
She is survived by her husband Patrick Cyr of Rochester, N.H., and her three children: daughter Claire Bemis and her husband Ron Bascom of Brattleboro Vt., daughter Connie Whitten and her husband Carl Whitten of Milton son Timothy Dubois and his wife Melissa Dubois of Milton, and daughter- in- law Tracey Dubois of Rochester. She also leaves two special "sisters" Mariette Coolidge of North Carolina and Irene St. Pierre of South Berwick, Maine.
Rachel leaves behind her grandchildren Austin Tremblay, Crystal Merkey, Andrew Dubois, Casey Martin, Courtney Whitten, Amber Dubois, Sarah Bemis, Brett Dubois, Emily Lucius, Ethan Dubois and Gracie Dubois. She also leaves three great-grandchildren Brailyn, Sawyer, and Jaece. She also leaves behind her sisters and brothers in-law, several nieces and nephews, and many cousins. She has many extended family members. Rachel leaves behind many, many good friends and neighbors.
