Referendum vote paves way for New Bridge Road replacement in FY 2019-20

LEBANON - Maine on Tuesday became the first state to approve Medicaid expansion for able-bodied adults, but Lebanon bucked the overall vote, voting against the measure 545-501.

Meanwhile, gambling in York County was shot down easily, with Lebanon voters overwhelmingly against the initiative, 718-328

A referendum to fund transportation infrastructure through a state bond easily passed statewide with Lebanon clearly on board, 687 voting yes to 355 no.

Lastly an amendment seeking to end volatility in state pension funding also easily passed across the state. In Lebanon the measure passed, 555-466.

Closer to home Lebanon voters overwhelmingly voted to aid funding of the New Bridge Road replacement bridge project, 826-219. The yes vote paves the way for a new bridge to be installed during the 2019-20 fiscal year, which begins July 1, 2019.

An amendment that tightens up local ordinances to make the compliant with them Maine Uniform Building and Energy Code also easily passed, 681-339.
