BARRINGTON - Robert Edward Feegel, Jr. "Skip", 75, of Barrington, died on Thursday, January 24, 2019 surrounded by loved ones. Robert Edward Feegel, Jr. held many nicknames, to include; Skip, Bob, Dad, Daddy-O, but his most proud title was Papa, or Papa-boy!
Loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend, he will be remembered by all who knew him as a strong, loyal, loving, and a kind man. He was a man who would do anything to help someone out and made countless friends easily and effortlessly.
Skip was born in Meriden, Conn., on July 16, 1943 to Robert Edward Feegel, Sr. and Mary Powers Feegel, and raised in Hamden, Conn. He moved to Guilford, Conn., where he met his beautiful wife, Jean Parcinski Feegel. Skip was an Air Force Veteran who served in Vietnam. After returning home, he was stationed at Pease Air Force Base, moving the newlyweds to South Lebanon, Maine. He received an honorable discharge and began his career as a truck driver for over 35 years.
Skip and Jean had three children and raised them in Barrington. Skip loved and was proud of his children and they thought of him as their hero. Skip worked tirelessly and selflessly to provide his family a great life. After retiring from driving a truck, Skip knew he couldn't sit still, he came out of retirement and helped his son's landscape company and eventually they opened Northern Landscape and Design.

Skip enjoyed spending time with his family, playing horseshoes, being outdoors, fixing cars, boating on the lake, working in the yard occasionally you may find him relaxing by the campfire. He looked forward to his family coming over and spending time with him. He could often be found with his faithful companion, Bowie, his boxer.

He is survived by his loving wife Jean; his children Tina Feegel -Sloan and her husband Keith Sloan, Kelly Feegel, and Scott Feegel; his grandchildren Mariah Piaseczny and her husband Kenny, Maggie Peck, Hailey and Cody Feegel, and Molly Balevre; great-grandaughter Ahnaleigh Piaseczny and soon to be great-grandson Kaden; his mother Mary Powers Feegel; his siblings Richard Feegel and his wife Joanne, Linda Weinberger, Lori Smith and her husband Duane; several aunts and uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews; and his beloved pup, Bowie. He is predeceased by his father Robert Edward Feegel, Sr.
Skip had a big heart and will be greatly missed by all of his family and friends.
