Rochester D-Day remembrance ceremony set for 10 a.m. at City Hall

ROCHESTER - A brief ceremony will be held outside City Hall on Thursday to celebrate the heroism and sacrifice of those who participated in the D-Day invasion of France 75 years ago.

The event, organized by the Rochester Veterans Council, will take place at 10 a.m. by the World War II monument.

Organizers say the ceremony will comprise a wreath laying, prayers and a proclamation. Several veterans are also expected say a few words.
