ROCHESTER - A Rochester man who got into an altercation with city workers attempting to shut off his water for alleged nonpayment in January was taken into custody on Thursday for a host of charge arising out of the confrontation.
Gustave Shunda, 52, of 249 North Main St., was charged with disorderly conduct, criminal threatening, obstructing government administration, criminal mischief and criminal trespass.
Rochester Police Capt. Jason Thomas said DPW workers went to shut of Shunda's water for nonpayment around 8:50 a.m. on Jan. 22, when he threatened workers, became disorderly and swearing and eventually threw a rock that damaged a city DPW truck.
Rochester Police made contact with Shunda around 10:15 a.m. on Thursday and took him into custody.
