Rochester man charged in gun incident at Briar Ridge
Staff reports 8:22 a.m.
ROCHESTER - A Rochester man was arrested on Sunday after police say he pointed a handgun at two men he thought were driving through his Briar Ridge Estates neighborhood too fast.
John Marston, 39, of 22 South Fuchsia St., was walking down the road with a female and their dog when the vehicle drove past them, police say.
Marston thought they were going too fast and yelled out to them to slow down.
The vehicle stopped because the two males in the vehicle had arrived at their Briar Drive destination. As they did they began to approach Marston about why he was yelling at them when he pulled out a gun and pointed it at them and told them to slow down and then to back off, police said.
According to dispatch reports Marston repeated "second amendment" more than once during the incident. He was charged with criminal threatening with a deadly weapon.
