Rochester man charged with 4 more burglaries

DOVER, N.H. - A Rochester man arrested a week ago in Portsmouth in a burglary in that city has now been linked to four burglaries in Dover.

Matthew Temple, 34, was arrested on Thursday at his home at 56 Lafayette Street, Apt. A. He was charged in connection with four other recent burglaries in Dover, including heists on Hubbard Road Feb. 5,Gladiola Way Feb. 8, and two on Feb. 12, Prospect Street and Glen Hill Road.

All of the burglaries occurred during the daytime hours, and targeted the homeowners' jewelry, according to a Dover Police Department press release.

Temple will be arraigned at 1 p.m. today in the Strafford County Superior Court.

The Dover Police Department continues to investigate four other residential burglaries or attempted burglaries that were reported since February 2, which occurred on County Farm Road, Lexington Street, and Cote Drive. In the meantime, the Dover Police Department is urging residents to lock their doors and windows, and to report any suspicious activity to the police department.
