Rochester man found guilty in strangulation assault

DOVER, N.H. - A Rochester man has been found guilty in the first-degree strangulation assault of his former wife in 2014.

Jeffrey Hance, 26, of 12 Academy St., who was indicted on the charge just last month, faces up to 15 years in prison for "causing respiratory and airway comprise due to inflammation of the airway" to the victim on her birthday, May 10, 2014.

Judge Brian Tucker found Hance guilty in a bench trial on Thursday in Strafford County Superior Court.

A date for Hance's sentencing was unavailable.
