ROCHESTER - A Rochester man faces serious charges from both Rochester and Dover police in two separate incidents involving criminal threatening and assault of a female victim said to be his girlfriend.

Rochester Police became involved in the case on Friday when the victim contacted them to report a domestic disturbance took place on Feb. 6 in the early morning hours at the home of Jarred Bartlett, 22, of 48 Royal Crest Drive.

Once the investigation concluded, warrants were obtained for his arrest on Monday and police took him into custody at his residence.

Rochester Police charged Bartlett with two counts of second degree assault and criminal threatening, all felonies, and simple assault, a misdemeanor.

Bartlett was held on $5,000 cash and was scheduled for arraignment on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, Dover Police charges alleged a second incident early the same morning as the first, when they say Bartlett's girlfriend, a 23 year old woman who lives on Lakeview Drive in Dover, contacted them to report Bartlett had fired off a handgun after she had gotten out of his car.

Dover Police say it does not appear Bartlett fired the shot at her, and no injuries or property damage occurred as a result of this incident.

However, Bartlett was arrested on Tuesday at the Strafford County House of Correction where he was being held on the Rochester charges and charged with felony reckless conduct and criminal threatening by Dover Police.

Bartlett remains held on $10,000 cash bail.
