Rochester man injured in Betts Road hit-and-run

ROCHESTER - A Rochester man walking along Betts Road was injured when he was struck by a hit-and-run driver on Wednesday.

The incident occurred around 7 p.m. when the man, Jayson Sanborn, 26, was walking north on the right side of the street with another person when he was struck by what was described as a dark-colored sedan.

When first-responders arrived they found Sanborn lying on the shoulder of the road. He was transported to Frisbie Memorial Hospital with what were described as nonlife-threatening injuries.

Officers checked the area for a dark colored sedan with possible front end damage, but were not able to locate the vehicle.

The Rochester Police are asking anyone who may have information that could assist with this investigation to call Officer Justin Seckendorf at 330-7128.
