ROCHESTER - The Rochester Police Department got closer to its full complement of officers on Thursday night as the Police Commission swore in four new officers.
The officers all have prior law enforcement training and experience, which will enable the city to get them out onto the streets that much quicker.
The four new officers, released Thursday on the department's Facebook page, are Kyle Danie, Thomas Seager, Cory Krochmal and Jacob Nance.
Danie has come back to the Rochester Police Department after a brief eight-month departure to explore a career in the private sector. He was an intern with the department in 2012 and hired full time in May of 2013. He attended the New Hampshire Chiefs of Police Cadet Academy for three years and went on to be a cadet instructor and mentor. Danie was part of our evidence team, and was a certified firearms instructor. He also was certified as a L.E.A.D. instructor.
Seager is a recent graduate of the New Hampshire Police Academy and has about a year of experience with the Bristol Police Department. Seager was part of the Explorer program in the Town of Gilford, and also part of the criminal justice club at the NH Technical Institute. He was also an assistant coach with the Gilford football team, which should prove a plus working with Rochester youth.
Krochmal has 12 years of law enforcement experience, the last five working with the Northwood Police Department, where he was sergeant. He also previously worked in Gilmanton, Epsom and as a New Hampshire Corrections Officer. He brings much prior law enforcement training and experience to us, including leadership training, firearms instructor, Taser instructor, and as an armorer. Krochmal is also SWAT certified and served with the Belknap Special Operations Group.
Nance has seven years of law enforcement experience. Prior to relocating to New Hampshire he served with the Bernalillo County Sheriff's Department in Albuquerque, N.M. While with Bernalillo County Jacob served as a member of the Emergency Response Team as well as a member of the Gang Recognition and Intelligence Patrol Unit and as a Field Training Officer. His assignment there was as a detective with the High Enforcement Action Team investigating narcotics trafficking.
