Rochester transient nabbed in stolen credit card case

ROCHESTER - A Rochester transient was arrested for alleged repeated use of a stolen credit card on Thursday after she was spotted near the city's main firehouse on Wakefield Street.

Angela Davis, 35, had been positively identified in the fraudulent transactions after the stolen purse was reported to police on Dec.10.

Subsequent to the alleged theft, the victim was notified of seven illegal transactions with the card that took place at various locations in Rochester.

Davis was spotted on video surveillance using the card seven times at five different locations, police said.

She was charged with seven count of fraudulent use of a credit card and receiving stolen property, all Class B misdemeanors.

She was held on $250 cash bail with an arraignment set for later today.
