ALFRED, Maine - A Rochester woman has been indicted by a York County grand jury in a domestic assault case that occurred in March in the town of Acton.

According to court papers, Jessica J. Lee, 37, of 34C Summer St., Rochester, N.H., committed the assault on an intimate or household partner on March 10. Court records also state she had a prior conviction on a DV assault, that she violated a protection order to commit the assault and that she also engaged in criminal mischief the same date.

The two most serious charges are Class C felonies, which can each carry a five-year prison sentence.

The York County grand jury indictments were handed down on June 5 and released last Thursday.

An indictment is not an indication of guilt, rather that enough evidence has been gathered to warrant a trial.
