Rochester woman hurt in Farmington Rd. crash

ROCHESTER - A Rochester woman was hurt when her car slammed into a utility pole on Farmington Road Saturday afternoon.

Police say the accident occurred around 4:30 p.m. in the area of Rochester Toyota when a vehicle driven by Gail Ainsworth, of 33 Sagamore Lane, was traveling east, crossed the opposite lane of travel and struck a utility pole.

The pole was damaged but there was no disruption in the flow of traffic. The vehicle sustained heavy front end damage and was towed from the scene.

Police today said there is no indication either alcohol or speed were factors in the crash; an investigation is under way.

The Rochester Police are asking anyone who may have information that could assist with this investigation to call the Rochester Police Department at 330-7128.
