MANCHESTER, N.H. - Renowned area musician Ron Jones said today he expects to complete his rehabilitation at home beginning Saturday, but said it still may be some time before he's back in the pink after he was involved in a serious car crash last month in Lebanon.

Jones has been rehabilitating at Catholic Medical Center in Manchester, N.H., after having been released from Brigham and Women's Hospital in Boston earlier this month.

"I'm feeling pretty good," he said, "but my right leg and hip are hurting pretty bad."

He said he'd looked at x-rays the other day that showed 10-15 screws in his right leg and hip. He said he's also undergoing regular physical therapy sessions, which can also be quite painful.

"They're putting me through pain courses," he quipped today during a telephone interview.

The longtime music legend was hurt in a head-on crash on River Road back on Aug. 25.

The nighttime crash occurred. a half-mile south of Oak Hill Road in the area of 220 River Road, Maine State Trooper Michael Lane said at the time.

In the accident Jones' Honda, which was headed toward Indian Shores, collided with a Jeep, which overturned.

A Lebanon man driving the jeep was not injured.

Jones, who has been a rock 'n' roll staple of the northern Seacoast for decades, said he remembers nothing from the crash.
