ROCHESTER - The Rochester Public Library will welcome the work of local artist Suzanne Pretty for the month of July.

Pretty draws on the everyday world around her for artistic inspiration and emphasizes the impact technology and development have on the natural world. Her work eschews a simple landscape depiction and instead includes the heavy machinery and modern elements that she believes has an impact on our daily lives.

Pretty is a graduate of the Massachusetts College of Art and Design and has received numerous awards for her work, including two artist fellowships from the New Hampshire State Council on the Arts. She's also a member of the League of N.H. Craftsmen and has exhibited her work locally and throughout the country.
