MILTON - Ruth Marion (Ramsey) Tanner, 104, of White Mountain Highway in Milton, died Sunday, November 8, 2015 at Frisbie Memorial Hospital in Rochester.
Born June 10, 1911, in Berwick, Maine, daughter of Frank E. and Sophie (Smith) "Betty" Ramsey, she was a lifelong resident of Milton.
A homemaker, she was a very quiet and reserved lady. She loved to bake, always to have baked goods with a cup of tea. Widow of the late Vincent Tanner, they loved to travel, having been together for 76 years. She also loved ice cream and cake, Irish music and watching television.
Ruth resided with her niece Ella and husband Ralph Corr, the past four years. Survived by her sister Sophie Elizabeth "Betty" Hurd, also many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by 4 brothers: Earl Lawrence, Frank and Charles Ramsey, 2 sisters: Mary Stowe and Jennie Hurd Craib.
