GONIC - Ruth Steere, 90, died on Saturday, March 18, 2017, at the Portsmouth Regional Hospital surrounded by her family. Born July 3, 1926, in Portsmouth, N.H., she was the daughter of Charles and Helen (Boardman) Lathrop.
Ruth was a homemaker who enjoyed knitting, reading, playing cards, spending time at the beach, and fishing in the ocean.
Members of her family include her children Pamela LaBracque of Gonic, N.H.; Clark Steere and wife Maryanne of Milton, N.H.; and Shawn Steere of Sanbornville, N.H.; her grandchildren Kristen, Katie, Sara, Melissa, Stephanie, Samantha, and Abel, and her great grandchildren Deacon, Stetson, Lincoln, Colby, and Brookelynn, as well as two step-great-grandchildren Joey and Danielle.
She was predeceased by her husband Clark Steere in 2004.
