ROCHESTER - Ruth Tebbetts, 90, of 2 Anita St. died Wednesday, May 27, 2015, at the Wentworth Douglass Hospital after a long illness.

Born November 6, 1924, in Rochester, N.H., she was the daughter of Leslie and Amy (Brown) Arlin. Ruth is a lifelong resident of Rochester. Having been a homemaker most of her life, she was a very dedicated wife and mother to her daughter and her late husband. She enjoyed writing and telling short stories for the children in the family, decorating doll houses and making crafts. She attended True Memorial Baptist Church and was a member of the Garden Club in Rochester.

She is the widow of Bernard Tebbetts, who died in 1985. Members of her family include her daughter, Diane Tebbetts of Rochester, her nieces; Debbie Roffo, Jennifer Montour and Elizabeth Coggan and nephew, Robert Arlin Jr., her great nieces and nephews; Amy Burnham, Sara Ross, Amanda Arlin, Caleb, Joshua and Matthew Montour, her great-great nephews; Jacob Burnham and Andrew Cushing. She is predeceased by her brothers; William and Robert Arlin and her sister, Elinor Fox.
