LEBANON - A fire in an RV on Route 202 near the Sanford line drew a swift response from Lebanon Fire and EMS on Monday night.

Lebanon Fire and EMS got the call around 8:30 p.m. for an RV that was traveling on Carl Broggi Highway (Route 202) and had caught fire.

Engine 2 arrived on scene to find fire showing from the unit, and crews stretched two lines to attack the blaze.

A mutual aid engine from Sanford Fire and a mutual aid tanker from Acton Fire also responded to the fire, which was under control by a little after 10 p.m., according to Lebanon Fire and EMS Capt. JT Harmon.

There were no injuries.

The fire appears to have been caused by an electrical malfunction within the vehicle, fire officials said.

Responding units from Lebanon included Ambulance 2, Engine 2, Tank 5 and Squad 1.

The York County Sheriff's Office, Maine State Police, the Maine Department of Transportation, Hartford's Truck Repair and Towing and National Wrecker Service all responded to the scene.
