Sanford man had almost $8G worth of heroin, cocaine, police say

SANFORD - A Sanford man has been arrested by the Maine Drug Enforcement Agency for allegedly selling heroin.

Shane Eisener, 40, is charged with Class A aggravated trafficking in schedule W drugs (Heroin/Fentanyl).

For the past two months, agents assigned to MDEA's York District Task Force have been investigating the sale of heroin by Eisener and others who routinely travel to Massachusetts in order to purchase large amounts of heroin to be sold in the Sanford area.

On Friday night drug agents with assistance from State and Wells Police stopped a car on the Sanford Road in Wells that Eisener was a passenger in. The car was returning from Lawrence, Mass. Both heroin and cocaine were seized from Eisener, including 42 grams of a heroin/fentanyl mix and 15 grams of cocaine.

The approximate street value of the seized drugs is $7,800.

The operator of the vehicle was released pending review of potential charges by the State's Attorney General's Office at a later date. Eisener was transported to the York County Jail and is being held without bail because he was already out on bail for an unrelated charge. He is expected to make a court appearance later today.

The investigation is continuing and others associated with Eisener have been identified. Additional arrests are expected.
