Serious injuries reported in Old Dover Road head-on crash

SOMERSWORTH - A portion of Old Rochester Road was closed on Wednesday after a head-on collision in the area of Blackwater Road a little before 1 p.m.

Somersworth and Dover emergency crews initially responded to the scene.

The accident involved at least one entrapment and several serious injuries.

Safety officials said two people were in one car and one person was in the other car.

The Strafford County Regional Accident Reconstruction Team was called to the scene to perform an investigation.

There was no word on the identities or the medical conditions of the victims.

A firefighter on staff at the stationhouse today said he couldn't release any information regarding the crash.
