Seven injured in three-car Wakefield crash on Rt. 16

WAKEFIELD - Safety officials said distracted driving may have led to a three-car crash on Route 16 on Saturday.

The crash near Harmony Drive occurred around 1:25 p.m. and left seven injured.

All were transported to Frisbie Memorial Hospital in Rochester. Their conditions were not released due to privacy concerns.

Route 16 was closed during an investigation into the crash.

New Hampshire State Police, the Carroll County Sheriff's Office, Milton Police and the Acton (Maine) Fire Department all assisted at the scene.
