CULLODEN, W. Va. - Sgt. Brian Walter Wood died unexpectedly on Monday, October 29, 2018. Brian was born in Rochester, N.H., on February 5, 1966 to Walter and Mary-Lou (Carpenter) Wood.
He spent the last 22 years in the United States Army. He loved his country and served with pride. He was a loving and kind father, grandfather, brother and friend and will be greatly missed.
Brian is survived by his fiancé and best friend Becky Olsen and her daughter Jymalee of Culloden, W. Va.; father Walter Wood of Ft. Myers, Fla.; daughter Lesley Smith and her two children Trowa and Serenity Smith of Wakefield, N.H.; son Christopher Wood of Dover, N.H.; and son Brian Wood, Jr. of Rochester; sisters Pamela Witman and husband Dale of N. Waterboro, Maine, Cheryl Kuliga and husband Ken of Sanford, Maine, Leisha Nadeau and husband Randy of Enfield, Maine; and brother Ernest Wood and wife Debbie of Apopka, Fla.
Brian is predeceased by his daughter Courtney Wood, brother Wayne Wood and mother Mary-Lou Wood.
