DOVER - Deputy Kristian Kerkensen and K-9 bloodhound "Jasper" have been recertified in Search and Rescue. This is a mandatory yearly certification. The certification is issued by NESPAC (New England State Police Administrators Compact)

To comply with certification requirements Jasper had to have a successful track at least ½ mile long with at least two changes in direction with a track that was aged a minimum of 30 minutes.

He also had to successfully complete an article/evidence search and perform several tasks as directed by either oral or hand commands.

Strafford County Sheriff David Dubois said he was very pleased with the recertification, adding, "We are so pleased to have such a talented and committed team supporting law enforcement agencies throughout the county and region with this valuable capability."
