DOVER - A Dover man has been identified as the victim in Tuesday night's shooting at a riverside Dover bar.

Raymond Eldridge II, 34, died from a single gunshot wound to the chest, according to a medical examiner's report, and the manner of death was homicide.

Meanwhile, a vehicle with Maine plates was seen being towed from the scene of the shooting early Wednesday.

The Chevrolet Avalanche was captured on WMUR video being towed from the scene just hours after the shooting occurred around 10 p.m. outside Castaways on Cocheco Street, a riverside bar that operates on property owned by Strafford County Commissioner George Maglaras.

Police say upon arrival an adult male suffering from a gunshot wound was found outside. He died soon after, officials say.

According to an Eldridge's Facebook Page, he has worked as a nondestructive testing inspector at Turbocam of Barrington for several years. The page also states he graduated from Dover High.

The exact connection of the Avalanche and its driver to his death is still unclear.

The investigation into the circumstances surrounding Eldridge's death remains ongoing, according to police and the AG's office.

Anyone with information about the incident is asked to contact Sergeant Mark Nadeau at the Dover Police Department at (603) 742-4646.
