The accident occurred around 2:15 p.m. when police say a 2006 Ford Focus driven by 43-year-old George Wilson of Barrington was headed west on Washington Street when it was struck by a 2002 Dodge Dakota attempting to turn west onto the thoroughfare from Estes Road.

The Dodge was driven by Fred Marsh, 54 of Somersworth, who was issued a summons for failure to yield.

There was extensive damage to the driver's side front quarter panel of the Ford, which had to be towed. The Dodge sustained just minor damage to the front passenger side quarter panel.
