SOMERSWORTH - Somersworth Police are currently investigating a shooting that occurred today on Silver Street.

Police say they responded to 17 Silver St. around 5:55 a.m. for a disturbance involving two male subjects who had shown up at a resident's door and we're trying to get in.

It was reported that an altercation took place between the three during which time a round was fired from a handgun.

Police said the shooting doesn't appear to be random and there is no information to suggest the public is in danger.

No injuries were reported in the incident.
