CONCORD - Granite Staters can learn how to fish for stripers from a kayak, boat, or shore at a free talk being offered at 7 p.m. next Thursday at the state Fish and Game Department, 11 Hazen Drive, Concord.

Striped bass fishing is hot on New Hampshire's coastal waters. In this session, New Hampshire Fishing Guide Tim Moore reveals the secrets of fishing for striped bass from a kayak, boat, and shore. He will talk about when and where he fishes, his favorite lures and bait, and the gear he uses.

As a member of the Old Town Premier Pro Staff, Moore's focus often is on kayak fishing, but this Portsmouth native has spent much of his life fishing for striped bass along the New Hampshire coast.

"I love to fish for striped bass. Whether it's from a kayak, a boat, or standing on shore, there's just something I love about the fight a striper puts up. I'm excited to share my passion for striped bass fishing," Moore said.

Moore is a full-time licensed New Hampshire fishing guide and the owner of Tim Moore Outdoors. His business offers kayak fishing trips for striped bass from June through August. He is also an outdoor writer, promoter, and regular speaker at fishing seminars.
