Strogen's Service Experts moving the business into former tavern

ROCHESTER - After being vacant more than a year, the building that housed the former Gary's Sports Bar will be serving customers once again: not with adult beverages, but with heating and cooling system installations and repairs.

Strogen's Service Experts, founded in 1977, will begin moving in on Aug. 1, Mike Strogen said on Thursday.

Strogen said the move will enable them to consolidate work done in two separate locations into one.

"Having everything under one roof allows us to have better efficiency in our operations," he said.

Strogen's Service Experts had been operating out of their current Milton Road locations for about 25 years.

Their new building comprises about 7,000 square feet, plenty to handle the sales, service and installation departments for the company that employs some 30 personnel.

Strogen said they'd been working on the building since December, installing new floors and interior partitions.
