DOVER - The Rochester woman indicted last month in the drug overdose death of a popular bartender will be held without bail pending trial after an evidentiary hearing held on Thursday at Strafford County Superior Court.
Nikole Coe, 24, of 59 Lafayette St., Apt. A, faces a maximum of life in prison if convicted on a charge of acts prohibited-death resulting.
According to her indictment, Coe gave "fentanyl to Sarah Brooks, and she subsequently ingested said controlled drug resulting in her death."
Brooks, a graduate of Farmington High, mother of two and resident of Rochester, had worked as a bartender and server at both the former Slim's in Rochester and Redhook Brewery in Portsmouth.
She died Feb. 28 at the age of 46.
Coe is being held at Strafford County Jail.
