ROCHESTER - The Rochester Voice celebrated its recent opening with a ribbon cutting at Rochester's Chamber of Commerce on Thursday.

Those attending included members of the Chamber, Rochester city officials, members of the Fire and Police departments and other business organizations.

The Rochester Voice, formerly called The Lebanon Voice, officially made the change official back in July and has seen steadily rising circulation numbers ever since.

Daily visits have almost doubling since July, from around 3,000 to some 5,600 in September.

The Rochester Voice joined the chamber in July and recently named Corinna Cole of Lebanon as sales director.

"We are very thrilled to be entering this new chapter for The Rochester Voice," said Martha T. Soto Galicia, president of The Rochester Voice."

"We've been covering Rochester since 2013," said editor Harrison Thorp. "Now we're just going to cover it more."

The Rochester Voice reports news from the greater Rochester area, including Milton, Farmington and Lebanon, Maine.
