ROCHESTER - Thelma F. Ramsey, 87, formerly of Rochester, died peacefully, surrounded by her loving family on Wednesday, July 25, 2018 in Palm Coast, Fla. Thelma was born September 28, 1930 in Rollinsford, the daughter of the late Ernest and Cora (Turcotte) Mailhot.
She was predeceased by her beloved husband of 67 years, Leonard "Pete" Ramsey, who passed on June 27, 2018, and two sons, whom she loved dearly: Donald Ramsey who passed in 2012 and Lawrence Ramsey who passed in 2004.
Thelma leaves behind her children: Gloria (Michael) Luttrell of Summerfield, Florida; Paul (Nancy) Ramsey of Farmington, daughter-in-law Sharon (Quintal) Ramsey of Rochester, Susan (David) Ekola, of Rochester, daughter-in-law Carissa (Colbroth) Ramsey of Middleton, and Louise (Bernard) Sandrowicz of Port Orange, Florida; as well as her 10 loving grandchildren; 11 precious great-grandsons and several nephews and nieces.
Always a loving and caring mother, Thelma was a talented seamstress, devoted homemaker and enjoyed working alongside her husband in the business aspect of their endeavors. Following her husband's retirement, they enjoyed traveling and moved to Port Orange, Florida, where they made their home for the past 32 years.
Thelma was a very faithful child of God and was actively involved with the Catholic Church of the Epiphany where she served as a Eucharistic minister. Like her husband, she enjoyed her family and was never happier than when she was amongst her children, grandchildren and great-grandsons. She will be greatly missed.
