HAGERSTOWN, Md. - Thomas Richard Jones, 72, of Hagerstown, and formerly of Buffalo, N.Y., died on Sunday, July 30, 2017, at his home. Born Wednesday, March 7, 1945 in Kenmore, N.Y., he was the son of John J. Jones and Velma M. (Coleman) Jones.
He was employed with Spaulding Fiber in New York for many years and he retired from Fleetwood in Maryland in 2007. Thomas loved working in his yard and on his cars and spending his summers in Maine.
He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Kathleen Jones; daughter, Jennifer M. DeCost and husband, Scott of Rochester, N.H.; two sons, Dr. Jeffery M. Jones and wife, Jeanne of Carterville, Ill., and Mark T. Jones and wife, Tracey of Falling Waters, W. Va.; brother, Lester J. Jones and wife, Marianne of Rochester, N.Y.; grandchildren, Kendall, Delaney, Lily, Carter, Averie, Taylor, Tyler, Jordan and Heather and two great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
