ROCHESTER - Police today are trying to track down a group of vandals who did thousands of dollars of damage to three city businesses overnight Sunday into the early hours of Monday.

The businesses all sustained various amounts of damage, Rochester Police Capt. Jason Thomas said on Monday.

Lone Oak Ice Cream at 175 Milton Road, Aroma Joe's at 190 Milton Road, and Little Miss Sophie's Country Kitchen at 7 Farmington Road were the three business targeted, however, it's not known whether or not any of the incidents are linked at this early stage of the investigation, Thomas added.

Ken Viel of Lone Oak, who found his popular ice cream stand ransacked upon arrival to work on Monday morning had hoped to reopen by late afternoon.

The miscreants could face felony charges if the damage amounts reach a specific threshold.

Police ask anyone with additional information to contact the Rochester Police Department at 603-330-7127.

People can also anonymously provide information by calling the Rochester CrimeLine at 603-335-6500 or by texting tips to CRIMES (274637). Individuals can receive up to $1,000 for tips that lead to an arrest.
