ROCHESTER - Two New Hampshire men are being held without bail pending arraignment on armed robbery charges in connection with last Thursday's Milton Road Shell holdup.

Alex Toribio, 18, of Newmarket, and Joseph Rapaglia, 20, of Candia, were both charged with one count of armed robbery after their arrest on Monday.

Police say the robbery took place around 12:30 a.m. at the Shell Station at 198 Milton Road as two masked men entered the store and demanded money from the clerk.

A firearm was shown and the suspects fled on foot south of the store with an undisclosed amount of money. Officers conducted an area search along with using the department's K-9 unit, but the track went cold.

Thursday's robbery was close on the heels of two other Shell gas station robberies from the week before.

The spree began March 7 when around midnight a crowbar-wielding man walked into the Shell Station at 130 Washington St., demanded cash and fled.

Another Shell, this one on North Main, was hit March 8 when a knife-wielding man walked into the store, demanded money and fled with an undisclosed amount of cash.

No one has been arrested in the first two Shell robberies, however police are looking at whether a suspect in recent Dover, Somersworth and Durham robberies may be involved in those two.
