ROCHESTER - A Farmington man was among two sent to the hospital on Thursday after a crash at the intersection of Farmington and Little Falls Bridge roads.

An investigation revealed that around 8 a.m. Vance Stickles, 23 of Farmington, was driving a 1996 Isuzu van and was stopped at the traffic lights heading into Rochester when his vehicle was struck from behind by a 2011 Chevrolet pickup driven by Joseph Staples Jr., 27, of Lebanon.

It was further learned by police on scene that Staples had just left Walmart and had looked down at his speedometer when he struck Stickles' vehicle from the rear.

Stickles, who was wearing a seat belt, was transported to Frisbie Memorial Hospital along with his passenger as a precaution.
