ROCHESTER - A city woman who was charged with prostitution and failed to appear for a hearing on Monday was arrested by Rochester Police on Thursday after a traffic stop by officers.

Presley Meinert, with a last known address at the Riviera Motel in Rochester, was held on $1,000 bail and sent to Strafford County Jail, according to a Rochester Police press release.

Meinert, 35, was also to have been arraigned on Monday in an unrelated shoplifting charge. Her nonappearance prompted the bench warrant to be issued.

The original arrest of Meinert stemmed from an incident in May in which she allegedly exchanged a sexual act for money.

The incident in question reportedly occurred in Meinert's motel room at the Riviera Motel in Rochester.

Meinert was initially released on $5,000 personal recognizance bail.

Meanwhile, her 'john', according to police Nikolay Timoshchuk, 27, of Dover, had his case continued without a finding. Charges against Timoshchuk were annulled in October in Rochester District Court.
