ACTON, Maine - The State Fire Marshal's office on Sunday identified the victim in Saturday night's fire in Acton as 28-year-old Edward Roberts.

The fire swept through Robert's second floor apartment on the Hopper Road late Saturday night; his body was found early Sunday morning. Fire investigators say no cause for the fire has been determined and more work will need to be done.

The body was transported to the State Medical Examiner's Office in Augusta for autopsy. The apartment, which was located over a garage in the area of 309 Hopper Road, was engulfed in flames when firefighters arrived on the scene around 9:20 p.m. The fire was reported by neighbors and passing motorists.
