ROCHESTER, N.H. - Wayne S. Kenison Jr. "Wayne-O," 48, died unexpectedly on Wednesday, November 23, 2016, at Massachusetts General Hospital, Boston, Mass., due to complications from a brain injury sustained several years ago.
He was born December 7, 1967, in Exeter, N.H., son of Wayne S. Kenison, Sr., and Kathleen (Foss) McRae.
Wayne grew up in Stratham, N.H., and was a graduate of Exeter High School, Class of 1986. He played football and in his senior year was awarded the coach's award. Growing up, Wayne was raised Catholic and attended St. Michael Church. Initially, Wayne worked as an EMT for Benoit's in Manchester and Somersworth. Later, he worked in information technology "IT" as a programmer with RMC Research in Portsmouth, N.H., and with VM Ware in New York City, N.Y. He resided in Rochester, N.H. since 2006 and for work commuted to New York.
His hobbies included hunting, fishing, fly tying and downhill skiing. Wayne was very proud that he taught his daughter, Rachel to hunt, and Molly to downhill ski.
Wayne will be remembered for being a good father and son.
Wayne's family was very proud that he was able to be an organ donor.
He was predeceased by a brother, Jacob Kenison, and his stepfather, Wayne McRae.
Wayne is survived by his two daughters, Rachel Kenison and Molly Kenison both of Rochester, N.H.; his mother, Kathy McRae of Sebastian, Fla.; his father, Wayne S. Kenison, Sr., of Berlin, N.H.; sister, Michele Maxwell of Newmarket, N.H., sister, Emily Currier of Cape Neddick, Maine, brother, Zachary Kenison of Milan, N.H.; and two nieces.
