ROCHESTER - William (Bill) J. Lemay Jr., formerly of Somersworth, N.H., died on Sunday, February 26, 2017, at the age of 83.
Bill served his country as a member of the Army during the Korean War and retired National Guard. Bill was the owner of Lemay's Bus Service for many years, before changing careers and working for the NH State Turnpike System. He was a lifelong member of the American Legion Post 47, also serving as a Past Commander. After retirement, he and his wife lived full time in their motorhome, traveled extensively and enjoyed wintering in Arizona.
Bill is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Lorraine; his sister, Marcia Cornellier; his daughter, Diane Cooper and husband Reid of Rochester; daughter, Joanne Rollins and husband Dave of Eliot, Maine; son, Arthur Lemay and wife Laurie of Lebanon, Maine; son, Norman Lemay and wife Bonita of Vacaville, Calif., eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
He is predeceased by his son Daniel Lemay; and two sisters, Sylvia Saul, and Gloria Jacques.
