ROCHESTER - A Rochester woman who was arrested almost two years ago after police say her young daughter was unable to wake her and was seen wandering the streets near their Dora Drive home faces up to 15 years in prison on drug charges stemming from a February arrest in the Kohl's parking lot.
Natasha Nailor, 28, formerly of 7B Dora Drive but now of 36 Farmington Road, Rochester, stands charged with felony possession of heroin/crack and felony possession of meth as well as criminal trespass and willful concealment, both misdemeanors, in connection with the Feb. 15 incident.
In that incident, Kohl's loss prevention personnel called police about an uncooperative female shoplifter, Rochester Police Capt. Gary Boudreau said on Thursday.
According to police reports, an officer then make contact with the female - who turned out to be Nailor - loading a stroller into a Jeep Cherokee. The woman denied stealing anything, and after an investigation the vehicle was impounded. A subsequent search warrant resulted in police finding drugs in the Jeep as well as a shirt described by loss prevention as the one that was stolen.
The criminal trespass charge was due to another shoplifting incident in 2010 at Kohl's.
After Nailor's release following the February incident, she was charged in April with forgery, receiving stolen property and theft by deception, all misdemeanors.
Boudreau noted that in 2015 she was served with a warrant out of Somersworth and arrested for driving after suspension/revocation.
In November of 2014 Nailor was charged with two counts of willful concealment and she also had arrests in 2007 and 2008 for disorderly conduct and criminal trespass, respectively.
A plea and sentencing hearing was scheduled for Thursday on the February charges, but it was continued and now she awaits a dispositional hearing in June.
Nailor was charged with endangering the welfare of a child in the June 2014 arrest, a Class B misdemeanor.
When Rochester Police arrived Nailor was "groggy," police said after the arrest.
Police could not divulge the exact age of the young girl, but did say she was under 6.
Nailor is currently out on bail.
