ROCHESTER - The 80-year-old Wells woman injured earlier this month when a deer collided with the motorcycle she was riding on remains in critical condition today at Maine Medical Center in Portland.

The woman's condition has remained unchanged since the June 10 accident when a deer attempting to vault over the Spyder three-wheel motorcycle she was a passenger on struck her head and dragged her off the bike.

Carol Delisle was riding with Clifford Wescott, 84, also of Wells, who was uninjured.

The freak accident occurred as Westcott was traveling north on Farmington Road between Walmart and Tractor Supply.

Delisle was wearing a helmet, but it became dislodged when the deer struck her, officials say.

She was Medflighted by Lifeflight of Maine out of Sanford to the Maine Medical Center with undisclosed head injuries.
