Woman who drove car onto ballfield killing man placed in mental hospital

ALFRED, Maine - The woman who drove onto a Sanford ballfield last June killing a man will be committed to a mental hospital, a judge ruled on Tuesday in York County Superior Court. Carol Sharrow, 52, of Sanford, was found not criminally responsible for her actions and placed in Riverview Psychiatric Hospital in Augusta. The incident occurred around 7:10 p.m. on June 1 when Sharrow drove her car onto the Goodall Park field during a Sanford youth baseball game.
