ROLLINSFORD - A 6-year-old boy died Saturday in a drowning accident in the Salmon Falls River.

He was wading in shallow water around 2 p.m. when he went missing, officials said. Family members searched for the boy, then called 911.

The unidentified boy was found submerged in 10 feet of water by Conservation officers a couple of hours later and taken to Mass General Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
