Academy Lane to close as part of Founder's Day fete

CENTER LEBANON - Academy Lane will be closed next Saturday and Sunday from 7:30 a.m. till 4 p.m. during the Founders Day Celebration.

The weekend long party will honor the 200^th birthday of Orin B. Cheney, who founded Lebanon Academy in 1850. Cheney later went on to found Bates College and was regarded as a champion of racial equality and women's rights.
