Acton man nabbed in domestic dispute after 911 text

ACTON - A 911 text for help Tuedsay afternoon sent police to a Foxes Ridge Road residence where they arrested a man in a domestic dispute with a woman he was prohibited from seeing due to a recent domestic violence charge.

Emanuel Slobada, 30, was held for violating his bail conditions of release and transported to the York County Jail, where he is being held on no bail.

York County Sheriff's Deputies learned around 2:30 p.m. that somebody was texting a 911 call for help to the dispatchers at the Sanford Regional Communications Center, where dispatchers noted that text call came from an area on Foxes Ridge Road in Acton and alerted deputies of a residence with recent domestic assault history.

When deputies went to the address a woman met them and stated that she was fearful because she was in a domestic dispute with Slobada, who had left the residence shortly before the deputies arrived.

The woman explained that she had called the police before on Slobada because of a domestic violence issue and he had been was arrested. The woman also related that Emanuel was on conditions of release.

Deputies confirmed that he was on conditions of release for a prior domestic violence assault that included no drinking, drugs or contact with the caller.

While the deputies were still at the residence, Emanuel returned and after an interview, he was taken into custody.

He is scheduled to be video arraigned today.
