ROCHESTER - Alberic A. Loranger, 85, died Tuesday, January 12, 2016, at the Hyder Hospice House in Dover after a long period of failing health.
Alberic was born in Epping, N.H., on July 3, 1930, the son of Alberic Loranger Sr. and Bernadette (Labranche) Loranger and had been living in Rochester since 1997, moving from Newmarket, N.H. He was a Navy veteran, a member of the Knights of Columbus. He was a self employed painter for over fifty years, owned several businesses and was well known in the community. He was loved by all and will be missed by many, especially family. He also enjoyed gardening, fishing and hunting. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his brother, Victor R. Loranger.
Surviving members of the family include: His loving wife of 63 years, Estelle (Laplume) Loranger, three sons, Michael Loranger of Acton, Maine., Roger Loranger of Pittston, Maine., and Robert Loranger of Wakefield, N.H., six daughters, Kathleen Russell of Raymond, N.H., Doreen Dubois of Rochester, N.H., Roberta Pigott of Barrington, NH, Carmen Davis of Rochester, NH, Luanne Shockley of Exeter, NH and Patricia Walsh of Milton, N.H., as well as all sons and daughters in-law. He also leaves 30 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren, six stepbrothers, one stepsister and several nieces, nephews and cousins. The family wishes to thank Beacon Hospice and the staff at Hyder House for their care and support during this difficult time.
